Juliette Harrisson
Out now - Creepy Classics: Ghost Stories from Ancient Greece
Orestes flees from his mother's angry ghost, and Orpheus longs for his lost wife. Achilles cannot bring himself to bury Patroclus, and there are some nasty shocks waiting for Odysseus in the underworld. Meanwhile, a young Greek soldier finds himself fighting the same battle again, and again, and again…
Each of these ten short stories is inspired by an ancient Greek or Roman text. They have been drawn from plays and poems, histories and biographies. But what they all have in common, is that they have been enthralling readers for more than two thousand years.
Praise for Creepy Classics: Ghost Stories from Ancient Rome:

— Dora Bona
“Not only does the author retell the stories in a fun way but she gives you all the historical background at the end.”

About Me
I write ghost stories - no matter what genre I try to write in, somehow I always end up writing a ghost story! I’m a professional historian (Senior Lecturer in History at a small British university) and I have a PhD in Classics. I’ve branched out into writing historical and contemporary fiction sets in lots of different times and places, but I always feel a warm glow any time I come back to my beloved ancient Romans!
